ALLY Energy Professional Profile: Jeb Boodry
Jeb Boodry
Chemical Engineer
Berkeley, CA, US
Professional Summary
I am a recent graduate with a BSE in chemical engineering interested in sustainability and social responsibility. I grew up in a rural New England town spending much of my extracurricular time participating in outdoor activities and science programs put on by the community and local companies. These experiences were essential for my education and instilled a passion for those topics. I've been able to extensively explore these passions through my work off campus. As a research assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, I worked on a project to understand the mechanisms behind new type of solar panels. As a member and leader in the Berkeley Student Cooperative, I've helped improve the quality of our affordable housing and learned about organizational efficiency.

Worked as part of a research group focused on using a simulation software, Kinetiscope, to understand the relaxation pathways within dyes used for dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). This research will contribute to a more complete understanding of how DSSCs work on a fundamental level, allowing for cheaper and more efficient devices. Position was full time and paid until August 9, 2019. During Fall 2019 and Spring 2020, it was taken for units. At the end of Fall 2019 I completed a research report covering my work that semester, and completed another report at the end of Spring 2020
