ALLY Energy Professional Profile: Bruce Coleman
Bruce Coleman
Experienced Oil Refinery Operator, 18 years in oil & gas.
Galt, CA, US
Professional Summary
Clean energy is the future and whether we like it or not, this will be the standard in the industry. I've been working for big oil refiners and gas companies for a few years and have grown to love the safety mindset and team mentality of the groups I have been a part of. Over my career I've spent equal amounts of time in a control room and outside performing preventive maintenance, prepping equipment for repairs, or helping out with pipefitting. I enjoy the optimization, fine tuning, and all the little improvements day to day that allow a plant to meet it's expectations. My goal each day at work is to find a better way to do something and share it with whoever I can. Whether it is a safer or more efficient way or a new tool or procedure, there's always room for improvement. Even if it is just raising morale and motivating myself and my co-workers to enjoy the work we do, that small increase in job satisfaction each day can improve production and reliability in the long run.
