Part of a small group of students learning the electrical grid and studying for NERC certification.

Control Room/outside operator responsible for Hydrogen production plant. Use of industrial equipment and process control software to maintain temperatures, flows, pressures on H2 gas and liquid. Operating compressors, pumps, furnace, boilers, pumps, and analyzers to maintain production. Working alone at night and on weekends, emergency standby on days off. Supervise start up and shutdown of the plant, permit and manage maintenance contractors, and perform minor preventive maintenance daily. Water chemistry on boiler/cooling tower daily. Inspection and audits, chemical inventory and ordering performed weekly.

Lead operator on a Reformer complex unit producing hydrogen, steam, and gasoline. Inside / outside operations , training, supervision, maintenance planning, emergency response. Writing procedures, training manuals, and data collection or reports. Investigating incidents root cause analysis, optimizing process variables and design of the unit.
