What’s the role

A Territory Manager (TM) role is one of the most exciting and fulfilling roles in Shell Mobility (formerly Shell Retail). You will be part of the Mobility Sales and Operations team that manages a group of Retailers in a Territory within a defined geographic location. The Territory consists of 12-22 service stations. You will act as the COO of your assigned Territory in the Regina, Saskatchewan area.  You will have the opportunity to directly influence bottom-line results at the Shell Retail Site level.  We are looking for a customer-centric, passionate, and results-driven individual who will embody Shell’s values and principles daily. We are looking for an individual with strong knowledge of Convenience Retailing and 4P (Price, Product, Placement, Promotion) execution. 

As a Territory Manager, you will be responsible for managing the relationship between Shell Canada and the Retail Business Partners. You will work to enable the safe and ethical delivery of Sales, Profitability and Operational Excellence Key Performance Indicators within the Territory by coaching and counseling Retail Business Partners.   You will spend the majority of your time in the field at Retail sites which will require you to travel within your territory and may include overnight trips.

What you’ll be doing

  • Embody and support the organization’s journey towards the Goal Zero Ambition (No Harm, no Leaks across all our operations) at Retail sites by coaching and counseling Retailers to follow proper HSSE protocols  

  • Review and manage site level performance, identify gaps, and implement action plans to deliver results 

  • Ensure proper execution of the Shell Customer Value Proposition (Marketing, HSSE, Loyalty and Convenience Retail) at each site including consistent delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment 

  • Lead Retailer Recruitment and Selection efforts to support the development of a robust Retailer pipeline 

  • Maximize profitability by growing higher margin Convenience Retail categories, and minimizing costs 

What you bring

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer 

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred 

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a similar role 

  • Evidence of strong leadership attributes (Authenticity, Collaboration, Performance, Growth) and adherence to core values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect for People) 

  • Maximize Performance by engaging and inspiring internal and external Stakeholders  

  • High mobility and existing driver's license 

  • Self-starter and results oriented. Strong past performance and track record for delivery and commercial acumen 

  • Ability to approach activities with a learner mindset   

  • Ability to respond quickly to changing priorities and multiple parallel activities 

This role requires the TM to be based in Regina, Saskatchewan (within 40km of city centre)
