JOB DESCRIPTION - PURPOSE

This job is a Revenue Accountant (RA) position in the Revenue Accounting group, which is part of Revenue Upstream Integrated Gas organization. RA is responsible for accurate and timely recording and reporting of oil and gas revenues associated with their assigned fields. Role includes analysis, classification, and reconciliation of associated accounts receivable/payable balances; monthly fluctuation analysis; review of applicable contracts and maintenance of associated master files.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES & KEY CHALLENGES:

• Record and validate oil and gas revenue, royalty, and related expenses for assigned fields in accordance with policies, regulatory laws, and industry guidelines.
  Set-up of new fields & wells for revenue accounting module.
  Perform thorough analysis of accounts receivable and payable balances, and ensure integrity of account data through status of accounts and reporting compliance.
  Administer the collection and payment of outstanding receivable and payable accounts.
  Reply to various audit and stakeholder requests as well as in-house audits as necessary.

• Perform all prior period adjustments as required in a timely manner.

• Participate in systems testing as necessary.

• Ensure that processes are fit for purpose and that simplification and standardization become the ways of working.
  Operate controls effectively, maintaining appropriate documentation to evidence those controls as required for SOX compliance.
  Reply to various external audit and stakeholder requests as well as in-house audits as necessary.

• Review of monthly invoices related to Oil / Gas.

• Review of monthly flux analysis, provide necessary business commentary, Perform high-level validation of revenue, royalty, and other related recordings.

• Assist with projects within the Revenue Accounting Team, as necessary.

• Coordinate with intercompany for monthly settlement and perform IGPC reconciliation.
