Job Description:

Tax Analyst with Spanish

Are you passionate about leveraging your tax expertise to drive compliance, accuracy, and process improvement? Join our team as an Indirect Tax Analyst and play a vital role in managing indirect tax processes with precision, contributing to a robust control framework, and ensuring streamlined compliance. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented tax professional with a proactive attitude, exceptional analytical skills, and fluency in both English and Spanish.

What you will do:

  • Ensure appropriate settlements of indirect taxes,
  • Complete all indirect tax related accounting activities, including control checks of transactional data to identify any errors or anomalies,
  • Work with Financial Transaction teams to ensure that errors are properly corrected and that remedial action has been taken to minimize the likelihood of similar errors in future,
  • Ensure all indirect tax related corrections and adjustments are entered correctly in the ERP system,
  • Reconcile VAT, excise duty, and other indirect taxes,
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurately indirect tax returns to the Indirect tax Authorities,
  • Support indirect tax reviews and statutory audits,
  • Initiate ideas to improve the process – quick wins, lead CI projects,
  • Provide MIT process advise in case of changes in system set up, close cooperation with Superusers in case of system issues,
  • Ownership for all compliance aspects within assigned scope- including SOAR, CCI, Controls, Metrics.

Your skills:

  • Min. 2 years experience in accounting/ finance,
  • Fluent in Spanish and good level of English,
  • University degree,
  • Good working knowledge of Word and MS Outlook
  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Customer& improvement focus,
  • Good communication skills,
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail,
  • Ability to work under time/quality pressure.

Nice to have:

  • Working knowledge about VAT, excise duty and/or other indirect taxes,
  • Experience of using a major ERP system such as SAP will be plus.
