In this role, you take part of Shell's RE team of professionals, with established a strong reputation as mature Corporate Real Estate organization, delivering portfolio strategies, commercial transactions, capital projects, facility and business operations services and travel support to the various Shell Businesses and Functions in all parts of the world.

What’s the role?

As Asset Protection Manager (APM) for Asia, you manage the operational security of different sites in a cluster of countries: India, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, and coordinate the delivery of high standard of operational security/manned guarding, access-pass issuing, reception, hospitality, Incident Management (IM) Emergency Response (ER) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities directly with the site Facility Management (FM) and/or via the contracted security partner.

Further accountabilities are as follows:

• Share your expertise by providing security awareness training on site in coordination with the site FM. You will also be conducting Security Risk Assessments (SRA) for all sites in the cluster (India, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore) per schedule following Shell Security standards and other requirements.
• Work closely with Corporate Security, Business Integrity and External Relations to ensure Asset Protection is delivered smoothly. You will be engaging proactively with internal business leaders (or their delegates) to ensure business led initiatives, which impacts asset protection, are conducted and delivered smoothly.
• Be an individual performer but with a strong ability to work as a team and the main focal point to the contracted security service providers point to the contracted security service providers.
• Support the rest of the countries within the region, with some travel involved.

What we need from you

• College graduate with minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in Asset Protection/Operational Security, Real Estate or a related discipline.
• Strong and proven track record in leading security teams and managing (operational security) contracts.
• Strong safety leadership and can demonstrate a track record of Goal Zero – no harm no leaks.
• Knowledge and experience of emergency response, incident management, and business continuity
• Good network of contacts throughout Government, and the commercial security environment.
• Ability to balance risk, standards/requirements, business needs and costs when developing security solutions.
• An analytical ability and sound judgment.
• Strong understanding of incident management, crisis management, firefighting, emergency response and business continuity
• Experience in the application of digitization and digitalization in managing security contracts.
• Continuous Improvement implementation in finding efficiencies and fostering innovation by working closely with sites and contracted parties.
• Ability to operate effectively within a multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.
