In this role, you work with Product Management, Operational Product Manager, or the Product Quality Coordinator in the region to improve accuracy, efficiency, cost effectiveness and reliability of laboratory to carry out testing of components and blended products in accordance with testing requirements referred to in GPC (LQS and GQS).
What’s the role?
As QA Manager, you ensure the quality of products manufactured and distributed by Shell Lubricants in the Country of operations meets Shell, customer and legislative requirements.
- Ensure Plant laboratory compliance with Shell Group or local HSSE standards and external requirements.
- Implement Lubricant and Grease Quality System (LQS & GQS) in the laboratory.
- Oversee sampling and testing of raw materials, lubricants, and fuels.
- Interpret test data for product certification and work with managers for waivers if needed.
- Monitor base oil quality impact on blended lubricants portfolio and adjust Bills of Material accordingly.
- Resolve customer complaints related to product quality and prevent recurrence.
- Address off-spec products by determining corrective actions with optimization of costs.
- Participate in Lubricants Laboratory Correlation Scheme (LLCS) quarterly.
- Collaborate with Product Management to review formulations and optimize costs.
- Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing Right First-Time performance with the Production Team.
- Manage and maintain GSAP systems, upgrades, Journey to Excellence, and Asset Integrity – Process Safety Program.
- Ensure alignment with global initiatives, high performance standards, and best practices.
- Operate virtually, leveraging networks for effective delivery without line responsibility.
What we need from you:
- Preferably with Degree in Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering with min 12 to 15years of experience in handling Laboratory.
