THE PROGRAM MANAGER POSITION
Sunnova is currently searching for a Program Manager for our growing Environmental Products Portfolio Management team in our Energy Services business unit. This individual will ensure our ongoing success in Renewable Energy Credits and other environmental products.
The Program Manager will perform a critical role in maximizing value for our customers. This role will serve as the central management point in the journey starting with 1) Sunnova’s qualification to enroll in aggregator programs through 2) system registration design, 3) third party program administrator compliance, and 4) portfolio performance reporting and optimization.
The candidate should have strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate between internal teams and with various external stakeholders that include state program administrators and renewable energy credit registries. This role will also build out and document our end-to-end processes across each program and will require a high level of diligence and attention to detail. The Program Manager will optimize the portfolio and modify program participation as necessary to bring the most value to our customers.

PROGRAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drives continuous process improvement in the operation of REC programs during their business-as-usual phase.
· Drives operational excellence within the department to ensure all systems are being appropriately monetized.
· Owns the success of Environmental Products operations, while working across functions and departments throughout the design to registration hand-off process
· Develops end-to-end process documentation across all programs through discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Drive training initiative for dealers and activation team.
· Ensures compliance with third party operational and reporting requirements.
· Engages with sales functions to ensure thorough evaluation of program requirements and product/service design is complete before program launch.
· Manages stakeholder processes with customer care team to ensure high customer satisfaction and issue resolution.
· Monitors regulatory changes and proactively proposes needed adjustments to maintain portfolio performance.
· Implements change management processes for all new and existing programs, owning the successful delivery of new products by the department in collaboration with Sunnova’s product team.
· Owns reporting and tracking on system performance, including registration status and economic performance of programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Education required: Bachelors required, Masters preferred (MBA or MS in environmental or energy field)
· Minimum years of experience required: 5+ years of experience in the energy and/or power sector; 3+ years of experience in program administration or management for Renewable Energy Credit programs or Carbon Offset programs.
· Demonstrated experience managing multi-stakeholder processes and optimizing performance across multiple metrics.
· Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and versatility in working across multiple enterprise applications including SalesForce and Smartsheet.
Preferred Qualifications
· Expertise in NEPOOL and PJM compliance markets programs.
· Experience with Illinois Shines and other performance-based incentives.
· Experience with California LCFS/Book & Claim program.
· Experience with WECC or ERCOT based environmental credits.
· Deep understanding of voluntary markets with emphasis on GreenE requirements.
· Experience in Carbon and Foreign Environmental Markets.
· Expertise with registries such as PJM-GATS, NEPOOL-EIS, WREGIS, NAR, M-RETS, NVTREC and NYGATS.
