About the role
Malikai Tensioned Leg Platform (MLK TLP) Operation and Maintenance is the first TLP development (Oil Production 78 KB/day, dry tree well design of up to 24 slots with Top Tension Risers, Gas Export upwards of 46MMscf/day and water depth of 500 m) responsible for the delivery of results from the designated installation through efficient operations of driving towards Best-In-Class with respect to HSSE, Operating/Unit Costs, unplanned/planned deferment management and functional asset performance.
This covers areas of production targets, operating and unit costs, asset reliability performance, asset integrity, compliance with maintenance plans, legislation and statutory requirements, HSSE and people development and management.
Where you fit in
You will support the Production Supervisor & Process Operation Technician Lead in management of interfaces of sub-surface, surface, hull and marine, oil and gas export pipeline to Kebabangan Hub (KBB) and SOGT (Sabah Oil Gas Terminal) with internal Shell Asset and functional team as well as PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB).
Additionally, you will:
- Ensure the technical integrity of the plant to meet the required plant availability. This is achieved through coordinated maintenance and inspection of rotating and static machinery, electrical equipment and control and safeguarding system. In addition, spare part identification and ordering is part of their job.
- Operate the process plant within the operating envelope to meet Crude oil production target and quality.
- Reports to the Production Supervisor and supports the Process Operation Technician Lead during shift. Work and interact with other discipline Technicians, Discipline/Support/Maintenance Engineers and Vendors to assist in day to day operations and maintenance
- Perform HSSE Critical Position/Roles as per MLK Operations HSE Case
- Perform other miscellaneous duties, like commissioning, helicopter handling, Emergency Response team, Radiation Worker/Supervisor, store-keeping, involvement in studies (e.g. RCM), gas testing and etc.
Position Duties & Responsibility:
- Fully compliant with Group Life Saving Rules and Process Safety Fundamentals at all times.
- Responsible for safe operation of the facilities and helps ensure facility operates within limits.
- Accountable/Responsible in ensuring safety task specify in relevant HSE Critical Position Roles are performed as per MLK Operations HSE Case. Incumbent is required to accept the relevant roles assigned, by signing the accountability and responsibility pack
- Deliver agreed production targets & drive towards best in class unplanned deferment
- Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance tasks required to maintain Technical Integrity and plant reliability of the facilities are executed without jeopardizing the Safety and Health of personnel and with no harm to the environment
- Ensure safety at the work site through proper control of PTW, application of Operations HSE Case, JHA and ACT.
- Ensure protection of the environment through proper waste segregation and monitoring of flaring.
- Perform safety critical task assigned
- Report work progress and plant status daily.
- Completion of jobs and PM compliance, raise and close out work orders.
- Perform Daily Logging and Update equipment history
- Involve and responsible in ensuring MLK is meeting AMS-ESP requirement
- Raise improvement initiatives / suggestions including cadence opportunities.
- Monitor critical spares status and raise orders if necessary.
- Execute production and maintenance tasks.
- Propose improvement initiatives.
- Participate in project activities particularly during commissioning.
- Participate and full commitments towards the MLK Focused Site Ownership Scheme as an equipment owner of an assigned equipment.
- Execute emergency response duties as Muster checker, Radio operator, ERT and etc.
Working Option: Offshore based with a company defined home based for admin purposes. Working schedule is on a 14 days on/off basis but can be subjected to future changes as deem necessary by management.
What we need from you
- Previous exposure to deepwater offshore infrastructure (FPS, TLP, TLPO, Spar) either from operations or project/construction perspective will be recognized but selection be based on proven performance, drive and ability to learn.
- Tertiary education to HNC level or higher in engineering or related disciplines relevant to the petroleum and gas industry, with a minimum 2 years experience in production and maintenance operations.
- Competent in parent discipline BTEC Process Level 3. CRO assessment will be an advantage.
- Fluent in English and able to report well both verbally and in writing.
