RP Construction Services, Inc. (RPCS) is a leading utility scale Solar Mechanical installation company within our industry. Our Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting the business function of our Distribution Center (DC) in Kosciusko, MS. The Logistics Assistant will work closely with our Logistics Coordinator as well as our Facilities Manager to bridge the warehouse and business function.  You will review all picked orders for accuracy and ensure documentation is maintained accordingly.  You will accurately document and communicate all successes and/or deficiencies to the Logistics Coordinator in a timely manner.  You will maintain a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.  As a Logistics Assistant you will be an important part of maintaining credibility in the market space and reduce our potential failures.

Responsibilities for Logistics Assistant

• Review and validate stocking materials and equipment to ensure they meet PO needs
• Communicate with DC staff on missing parts and materials in a timely manner
• Assist in maintaining records of warehouse “stock-on-hand” material
• Work with Logistics Coordinator to prepare accurate Bill of Lading (BOL) based on itemized customer orders
• Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible
• Work with Facilities Manager to ensure accurate counts so we can prepare
• accurate invoices

Qualifications for Logistics Coordinator

• 2-year degree in Business (preferred)
• 1 - 2 years’ experience in customer service or logistics, or a combination of education and respective education.
• Work with DC staff to track multiple processes, simultaneously
• Basic understanding of inventory and logistics principles
• Computer-savvy and basic understanding of inventory tracking devices
• Previous customer service experience
• Maintain organizational and coordination abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Works well with internal as well as external customers

Typical Working Environment

• The Kosciusko warehouse environment will have regular exposure to factors that may potentially cause moderate physical discomfort, such as dust, fumes or odors.
• Will require intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward.
