This role will coordinate and lead the integrated scheduling team to ensure the delivery of the (Integrated Activity planning and Scheduling) IAPS process within the QGC assets. Ensuring that links are established and maintained between the Integrated Planning Process and other key business processes such as; Functional Based Activity Planning, Business Planning, Financial Planning, Risk and Opportunity Management.

The Integrated Scheduling Lead is a key member of the QGC MRTA Planning & Scheduling organization discharging their responsibilities in support of the Asset Manager, Operations Managers, Operations leadership team and Functional Leads in prioritizing and integrating activities in Medium-Term IAP, Short-Term and Integrated scheduling time horizons to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for the optimal delivery of the Business Plan.

What’s the role?

Your core accountabilities include the following: 

  • Coordinate the compilation of the Integrated Plan for the Asset Leader and leadership team. Provides scenarios to Leadership on likely business outcomes for the Asset. Supervise the development of Integrated Plans at all-time horizons. Critically assures that plan content linkage exists from Strategic to Executable Plan Levels. 

  • Deliver Medium-Term (MT)/ Short-Term (ST) IAPS plan for the Asset. Support the Asset Leadership Team in prioritising and integrating activities in the asset MT/ST IAPS plan to ensure optimal delivery of the Business Plan 

  • Ensure Scheduling Processes and structures are in place, supported and audited so that day to day tasks and activities of the Maintenance Execution team are executed with consistency and with focus on process safety, integrity, and operational excellence.

  • Provide Leadership in QGC scheduling processes in accordance with company standards and guidelines which are consistent with scheduling processes in line with AMS and QGC procedures.

  • Drive standardization and simplification of scheduling process across QGC and apply Continuous Improvement.

  • Lead with example with a deep strong commitment to our vales, code of conduct, safety and the environment. Apply our standards with rigor and intervene when they are compromised

  • Manage the team of senior schedulers and turnaround schedulers for delivery of high-quality schedules to the various gate and plan owners ensuring the efficient use of resources and tools.

  • Ensure that current Business Plan Elements for QGC are aligned with the longer-term strategic plans.

  • Drive a collaborative integrated environment to ensure the executable schedules include the highest value activities which are executable with full availability of people, materials, services, etc.

What we need from you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in Maintenance and Campaign scheduling for large and complex infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated experience managing, coaching and developing staff; managing performance and setting objectives.

  • Experience in Maintenance, Turnarounds and Campaign execution (desirable).

  • Expert in Planning and Scheduling tools and systems, preferably Primavera P6, Maximo and Maxavera. 

  • Demonstrated experience incorporating Production, Project, and Maintenance Planning across multiple assets.

  • Experience in Continuous Improvement delivery and monitoring and maintaining master data quality.

  • Demonstrated commitment and support to Diversity & Inclusion agenda.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to work effectively in a team supervisor capacity; Highly effective stakeholder management and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and direct as appropriate.

  • Experience in the development of policies/procedures; Ability to prioritize and incorporate broader corporate objectives into decision making by considering the broader QGC opportunities and or impacts of decisions.

  • A solution focused mentality; Excellent time management skills, strong service mentality.
