With its return to the retail sector at the beginning of 2022, Shell offers low-emission services and products to accompany the radical transformation in the world of transport: thanks to Shell Recharge Solutions with smart charging solutions on the go, in the office and at home and to Shell Fleet Solutions with a fuel card through which business customers can carry out traditional refueling and electric charging on a vast network of refueling stations.
What is the role
The HR Manager Italy is responsible for managing all HR processes within the employment life cycle, providing advice to the Country Coordination Team (CCT), Line Managers and employees on HR related queries and ensuring compliance with local and global HR policies as well as with external regulations. The HR Country Manager is also in charge of ensuring on time recruitment processes supported by a strong employer value proposition managing any implementation of M&A projects. The HR Country Manager is a member of the Shell Italia Country Coordination Team, supervises a team of 3 local HR professionals and manages relations with the external payroll provider, HR Operations in the Service Centres, recruitment agencies, external labour lawyer, government authorities and unions. The role is based in Milan.
The key accountabilities include:
Play an active role in the CCT to ensure consequent supervision, assessment, compliance and strategic planning of employment matters, policies, succession planning, employer value proposition.
Lead the HR Team and ensure high quality in daily operations.
Conception of local employment policies in compliance with global policies and ensure compliance by user friendliness and engagement.
Design and lead the ER/IR Agenda in country.
Coach, moderate and advise line managers and employees on HR related queries
Ensure compliance with immigration and business requirements in case of international mobility queries.
Ensure an efficient HR Operating model and ways of working between HR Operations and Country HR.
Lead the external payroll provider to ensure high efficiency and quality of payroll processes.
Manage succession planning and ensure avital talent pipeline.
Ensure efficient recruiting processes in franchise country set up (main processes in country with occasional support of global resourcing team).
Build up and strengthen employer value proposition on Italian talent market and towards internal employees.
Act as Project lead for Workday module implementations (e.g. compensation, time & absence, payroll).
Lead implementation of HR processes and tasks of M&A projects
Lead local roll-out of global projects.
What we need from you
We are looking for a seasoned HR Professional with several years of experience gained in large international organizations and the ability to work independently whilst being able to deal with senior leadership teams and challenging stakeholders. Next to this, you will bring:
University degree in Human Resources or Italian equivalent (e.g. Law or Economics)
Deep Knowledge of Italian HR specifics
Experience in dealing with industrial relationships and unions
Strong direct and indirect leadership skills
Strong analytical and conceptional skills
Strong stakeholder and communication skills
Experienced in change management, coaching and conflict resolution would be beneficial
Fluency in English and Italian
