The Finance Advisor PSC is responsible for the delivery of Finance activities specifically in the area of Upstream Oil and Gas Production Sharing Contract and Joint Venture Accounting. This role is part of a wider team of 5 team members responsible for up to 10 Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Ventures. Location of the role is in Miri, Sarawak.
- What’s the role?
The Finance Advisor PSC will be responsible for:
- Full compliance to Health and Safety; and Ethics and Compliance standards.
- Prepare Production Sharing Contract (PSC) and Joint Venture (JV) accounting processes.
- Deliver the full suite of Finance support (including tax, treasury, reporting and performance management) autonomously.
- Independently ensure that a proper functioning control and financial compliance framework is in place and that risks are properly understood, reflected and managed.
- Work with internal and external stakeholder teams based in multiple locations.
- Deal with commercial issues, contractual disputes and value analysis as they arise.
- Lead/initiate structural improvement projects including digitization initiatives.
- Take part and lead in various Finance community activities.
- Role requirement
Main requirements are as follows:
- 3 - 5 years or more working experience in relevant finance areas.
- A degree within Accounting or Professional Qualifications, or similar qualification e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, etc.
- Candidates with experience in handling PSC & JV accounting in an Oil and Gas organizations, or with general oil and gas finance experience are encouraged to apply.
- High competency in accounting systems (e.g., SAP) and other digital software.
- Commercial mindset and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
