  • Ensuring end-to-end integration and alignment with Prelude processes, equipment, and procedures to facilitate the successful end-to-end processing of Crux products.

What’s the role?

The Crux Lead Mechanical Technician’s roles and responsibilities will change in focus during the different phases as we move to steady operations.

During the onshore commissioning phase, you will support both Operations Readiness and Commissioning Start-Up activities from Perth:

  • Attending vendor-specific training for packages and equipment.

  • Gaining physical asset knowledge and familiarization.

  • Validating SAP PM Task Lists and Maintenance processes in readiness for sail away and equipment handover.

Location: Perth office - 5/2 Roster

During the Offshore Commissioning and Start-Up Phase through to Steady State Operations, you will continue as part of the integrated CSU team:

  • Acting as a role model for safety and behavioral leadership, ensuring safe work practices are adhered to.

  • Working together with vendors and specialists for facilities commissioning.

  • Taking a leading role in the execution of Asset-led Start-up Activities.

  • Supporting Crux through initial start-up and troubleshooting.

  • Executing Preventative and Corrective Maintenance Tasks, and supporting the delivery of work fronts through isolation responsibilities.

  • Operationalizing key maintenance processes.

Location: Crux Field - rotational 3/4/3/5 roster

During the Operate Phase:

  • Supporting the PIC to ensure operation is within the boundaries of the Safety Case and Environmental Plan and safely delivering the production plan and Integrated Activity Plan.

  • Confirming that the Ensure Safe Production, Permit to Work, Safe Isolation, and Maintenance Execution processes are followed so that day-to-day tasks and activities of the production shift are executed with consistency and focus on process safety, integrity, and operational excellence.

  • Enabling the early identification, diagnosis, and rectification of process or maintenance issues as they arise.

  • Working closely with the onshore organization to drive safe, reliable, and efficient Crux performance, and ensuring threats to the safe, reliable, and predictable production plan are identified and managed.

  • Leading the offshore learner mindset culture to drive continuous improvement.

Location: Crux offshore - rotational 3/4/3/5 roster

What we need from you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A Mechanical Trade qualification with experience as a Mechanical Technician in operating assets.

  • Experience in a Major Hazard Facility environment to ensure safe and consistent operation and production processes.

  • Proficiency in coordinating maintenance activities on oil and gas facilities through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
