Job Description:

What’s the role

The role is engaged in all stages of the asset lifecycle, focusing on maximizing profits through optimized production and minimized deferments, while ensuring the long-term integrity of assets.

What you’ll be doing

As the Cost Controller, you will be responsible for reporting to each offshore asset value of work done/accruals status. This is seen as a crucial role to improve OPEX management and providing visibility of ongoing monthly expenditure to provide an improvement in accuracy of forecasting.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and report project cost budgets, and the tracking, management and reporting of project expenditure to enable robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle

  • Produce and issue monthly Value of Work Done (VOWD) Accruals Report to asset budget holders (for normal operations, Turn Around Time (TAR) specific and year end)

  • Liaise with Planning discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the schedules

  • Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget, schedule, and cost forecast

  • Liaise with project management, project planning, and others as required to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecasting on a rolling 12-month basis

  • Attend project / client periodic meetings and present project cost performance status as required

  • Facilitate / chair internal project cost performance meetings as required

What you bring

  • Has significant to substantial years of related experience

  • Experience in using SAP

  • Good Microsoft Excel skills

  • Must be highly collaborative
