What’s the role? As we transition to cleaner forms of energy, the challenge facing the energy industry in the coming decades is considerable. To support Shell’s ambition, the Business Intelligence Analystcombines expertise in finance and digitalization, requiring creative thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a strong foundation in financial analysis. The ideal candidate will leverage their skills to develop innovative solutions and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and technologies.

  • Demonstrates ownership in processing requests and/or queries (including complex issues) related to interfacing with the ERP and other systems, in compliance with Process framework.
  • Oversees the assigned automated, semi-automated & manual data maintenance processes in accordance with controls and manages exceptions that any automated process is unable to handle.
  • Timely and accurate maintenance of files and other similar trackers/logs and Control related audit trail including resolution of any queries thereon.
  • Works with Process Focal Points to ensure that exceptions can be systematically handled in the future by proactively identifying areas for improvement in the process.
  • Supports Data Cleanse initiatives from design owners and delivers it on time as agreed.
  • Support the development of Touchless Management Information Dashboards/Reports for projects, collaborating with business stakeholders and partners.
  • Assist the team in data preparation, understanding data, and contributing to the delivery of TMI Solutions.

    What do we need from you?

    • Degree/Post-Graduate qualification in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related fields.
    • Proficiency in financial concepts and financial statements.
    • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation.
    • Certification or working knowledge in Power BI, Python, R, Alteryx, Azure, and/or SQL.
    • Curiosity and a strong ability for self-learning.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
