What’s the role?
Business Analyst role is responsible for identifying and documenting the business needs of their stakeholders and helping to determine feasible solutions to meet Trading & Supply - Crude & Products C&P business needs or resolve business problems.
Plans, controls, and executes a project or programme or set of related ones to meet identified business needs and deliver business value.
Accountabilities:
- Precisely capture business problems, value drivers, and functional/non-functional requirements, including security, usability, data, and supportability considerations for C&P DEX (Mainframe application) to Endur migration project.
- Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.
- Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct workshops and Assisting global Portfolio Managers in both the United Kingdom and India within gathering and analyzing data aligned with Shell Trading ambitions related to the ETRM modernization strategy.
- Create clear documentation to communicate requirements and related information; keep updated to align with the solution over the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with stakeholders to build trust and understand their goals, motivations, constraints, risks, and operating environment.
- Create acceptance criteria and validate that solutions meet business needs through defining and coordinating testing.
- Proficient in data analysis with tools like Microsoft Office Suites, Service Now, Azure Dev Ops, Adobe Suites, and SQL to gather requirements across many deliverables.
What we need from you?
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Experienced in Crude and Products trading and supply IT roadmap development for ETRM IT solutions
- Full stack Business Analyst (along with technical skills, Release manager, change manager) is required for critical migration project
- Integration of ServiceNow optimization, Custom reporting, organizing workshops and Assisting global Portfolio Managers
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in data analysis with tools like Microsoft Office Suites, Service Now, Azure Dev Ops, Adobe Suites, and SQL

Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
