Job Summary The Manager, Project Engineering is responsible for overall Refinery Capital Budget Management as well as reviewing and evaluating project design engineering, technical services, cost estimating, budget management, safety management, scope management, quality management, and project schedules for all engineering projects assigned to the Project Engineering Department. The Project Engineering Manager is the primary person accountable for project management and technical review/assistance for Project Engineers in Central Project Engineering. This also includes management of all Contract Engineers, offsite & onsite, as well as the onsite Drafting Department. The Project Engineer also has some Project Management responsibilities for larger, complex projects in Central Project Engineering, as workload and other responsibilities permit. Additionally, the position provides technical Support and assistance to the organization as required to support safe and sound operation of refinery equipment during steady-state and upset conditions.
